"I had my doubts about Shenk's Hillside Cultivator's ability to cut through the straw-covered ground of our new strawberry patch which had been compacted by equipment use in the standard apple orchard that had been there for 50 years. However, the disc gangs in the front of the unit combined with the S-tine's ability to dig in and turn over the soil made relatively short work of the top several inches of soil and straw.  The hillside cultivator made the seemingly impossible job of renovation possible."
